Our Knight Club Curriculum

A structured learning path to build strong chess players

1

Chess Fundamentals Review

We reinforce basic chess knowledge including piece movement, check/checkmate, castling, and en passant. Students participate in "chess obstacle courses" that test their understanding through physical and digital challenges.

2

Tactical Weapons

Students master essential tactics like forks, pins, skewers, discovered attacks, and double attacks. Each tactical concept is introduced through themed puzzles, animated examples, and interactive games that make learning engaging.

3

Opening Principles

Introduction to opening fundamentals including center control, piece development, king safety, and pawn structure. Students learn through "opening adventures" where they explore different starting positions and common traps.

4

Endgame Essentials

Focus on basic checkmates (king + queen vs king, king + rook vs king) and key pawn endgame principles. Students participate in "endgame challenges" that build confidence in finishing games successfully.

5

Game Analysis

Students learn to review their own games with guidance from instructors. We use interactive tools and fun "detective games" to help identify key moments and improvement opportunities in their play.
